The purpose of this article is to get an individual to stop and pause for a moment A Guide to improve happiness. We all have to admit that from time to time our self-esteem take a hit. When something goes wrong at work and we are made to feel that what we did or did not do has contribute to the problem. What about when we fail at love or when I kid does not turn out to be what we hoped.
If we realize it or not that negative work experience, past experience, other people behavior, and our own view of things we determine how we see our self and what we get out of life, thus may determine our happiness. Of course what has happened in the past we can not change, but still can effect us in the future. Other people behavior we have very little control over or do we. We can choose to whom we associate with. We have to deal with the negative person we work with, but we do not need to associate with people who drag us down.

The old saying stop and smell the roses has a lot more truth in it then we may want to admit. The question you must ask your self is, who are my friends? Do I see things in a negative way to rob myself of happiness? Do I dream so much about tomorrow that todays I am unhappy? Has St. Augustine said,\ Indeed, man wishes to be happy even when he so lives as to make happiness impossible.\
